Intricately designed papercut layers, spaced apart to create depth and tell a special story! Framed & ready to display!
Take a deep breath, sip your freshly harvested Matcha, and revel in the beauty of sakura petals falling in the gentle spring breeze!
This design was inspired by the Nakanokura Pass View Point hike, which leads to the view of Mount Fuji that is featured on the 1000 yen bill. It was a hilariously steep hike, but the view was absolutely worth it. During this trip, we also visited a matcha farm, and I loved the cutely round tea bushes and gorgeous tea fields so much that I blended that experience into this storybox as well!
Interior/artwork dimensions: 8" x 8"
Frame's exterior dimensions: 8.8" x 8.8", 1.2" depth. Glass front, sawtooth hanger attached on the back.
Handmade with lots of love! Each layer is designed by me (hello!), cut by a papercutting machine, and hand-cut and hand-assembled to finish. The cardstock is solid-core, archival quality, fade-resistant, and varies between 65lb to 110lb cover weight, depending on the design, purpose, and color of each layer.
Please avoid putting your storybox in direct sunlight. Indirect sunlight is okay! I use high quality fade-resistant cardstock, but please understand that that doesn't mean it's impossible for it to fade; the sun is crazy strong! If you ever have any issues with your storybox, feel free to let me know.

Not only is this a lovely scene, but you can really tell how much time and effort was put into it. I love all of the little details, from the individual sakura petals to the little tea ceremony set up in the corner. Absolutely my favorite piece of art that I own.
